CouCou Bar Restaurant is one of the best options in Bantayan Island. They offer native Filipino cuisine. When compared to restaurants in Cebu City, CouCou Bar’s prices are more affordable. The food they serve is good and their place is frequently visited by tourists every night. They also have a good ambience.
The restaurant is near Sugar Beach Resort and Budyong Beach Resort. From the said resorts, you can visit the restaurant either by hiking of by riding a tricycle.
Here are some of the food that I’ve ordered:
I loved their squid sisig the most. It’s one of the most delicious squid sisig that I’ve tasted. However, the special halo-halo isn’t that great. For its price, 95 pesos, I expected a more delicious halo-halo. I think they need to make it creamier and add more milk. Other essential halo-halo ingredients like leche flan and nangka (jackfruit) will also help improve the flavor. 🙂
However, I still recommend the place to tourists in Bantayan. The place is great and their main dishes are a must-try.
