Lantaw Floating Native Restaurant

Lantaw Floating Native Restaurant

Lantaw is a floating restaurant offering native Filipino cuisine. This is the restaurant for people who are not only after the food but also for the view and atmosphere of the place. It’s best to visit the place during sunset so you could witness the sun as it sets. Flocks of flying birds can also be seen from the restaurant. At night time, you can also view the lights from the city.

Their service is good and their staff is friendly. They courteously greet guests who have just arrived and they provide umbrellas if it’s quite sunny or if it’s raining.

Lantaw Floating Native Restaurant accepts both walk-in customers and reservations.

Directions

Ride any jeepney going to Lapu-lapu. Then, stop at the first traffic light that you’ll see after crossing the Old Mactan Bridge. This is where you can see jeepneys headed to Cordova. Or simply, just inform the driver to drop you in a place where there are jeepneys going to Cordova.

From there, inform the driver to drop you off at Barangay Day-as. Upon reaching the place, ride a pedicab and tell the driver to bring you to Day-as Wharf or to Lantaw Floating Restaurant.

Here are what I’ve ordered:

This grilled chicken is good but it somehow tastes like the grilled chicken of Mang Inasal.

Kinilaw na Isda – They use Blue Marlin fish

Baked Scallops

Iced Tea

Halo-Halo – For me this is as good as Razon’s Halo-halo except that it doesn’t have leche flan…

The food offered by this restaurant is good and is almost the same as the other restaurants in the Philippines. The things that make Lantaw more special than the other Filipino restaurants are its location and ambience.

The service was so slow. Nobody cares if you order already or not.

The food was prepared in advance. Over cooked, long wait and mediocore.

    The price was okey.

The location is nice but quiet far for us who came from Cebu City. It took us 2 hours to come back in the city.

Hi Analyn. Thanks for the review. I haven’t experienced slow service when I went there. Maybe it’s because I went there earlier when there are not much people yet. I agree that the food is really not that great and just common but the place is truly nice and relaxing.

It’s still a good place to visit if you want to try a new Filipino restaurant experience. ;)

with a price like that, you can’t expect a great food. But the ambiance and the view is worth more than you paid.
