Most beach resorts are visited by beach bummers to relax and to enjoy the views and amenities. However, beach resorts in Dauin, Dumaguete have much more to offer as they have diving spots that will add excitement and adventure to your vacation. Sea snakes, lobsters and even sea turtles are among the amazing sea creatures that you can see in those diving sites.
Liquid Dive Resort in Dauin is one of the resorts where you can stay if you wish to visit those diving sites. It’s a PADI 5 Star IDC dive resort so there’s no worry whether you are an expert or a first-time diver. They have a pool where they train guests who have no or little experience in diving.
How to Get There
From Cebu South Bus Terminal, take a bus bound for Bato via Liloan and inform the driver to drop you at Liloan seaport. Then ride a ferry or a fast craft ferry going to Dumaguete. From there, ride a jeepney that’s headed to the terminal and inform the driver that you’re headed to Dauin. Jeepneys bound for Dauin can be found near the city plaza and fruit market. It’s also in front of a BDO branch. Then give the driver the name of the resort where you’re going to stay. The landmark is a Petron gasoline station that can be seen from the left side of the jeepney. From there, just follow the trail going to Liquid.
Finding the resort is relatively hard but they offer private transfers from Cebu, Moalboal or Dumaguete to Liquid.

Liquid is really meant for divers. It’s not the typical beach resort where people usually swim, play beach sports and hang at bars. So if you’re a guest at the resort, it’s expected that you’ll also try diving. Rooms are well-maintained and are cleaned every day.
It’s an ideal place to relax since the place is really quiet especially at night. The staff, especially the owners, is very friendly and accommodating. They even greet and smile at their guests.
The beach is not a white sand beach and it’s rocky. But like what I’ve mentioned above, Dauin is visited by tourists for the great diving sites.
The whole resort has a free wi-fi and they have a computer at the bar that can be used for free if you don’t have your own device.
However, there’s not much food choices in the resort. They don’t have a fixed menu and there are only a few choices. Meals are also quite expensive. The evening meal, worth 395 pesos (drinks excluded), can’t be customized since the starter, main dish and dessert are already set. At night, they also arrange a big table where everyone will eat which isn’t ideal if you don’t wish to share the night with everyone. But fortunately they don’t have a corkage fee so you’re free to bring in food.
Overall, Liquid is a good and budget-friendly dive resort where you can learn from experts. It’s a great choice if you want to spend your vacation in a quiet and relaxing yet adventurous place.
