Finding foreign cuisine in the Philippines is simple since there are lots of Mexican, Korean and Chinese restaurants in the country. And if you want Japanese food, Rairaiken Restaurant is one of your finest choices. The restaurant is also easily accessible because it has branches in almost all shopping malls in the country.
The owner and head cook of the ramen house was sent to Japan to learn how to cook authentic Japanese food. So it’s a good idea to give the restaurant a try if you’re looking for authentic Japanese ramen and sushi rolls.
Since it was often raining lately, I ordered a bowl of seafood ramen to warm myself. There were lots of shrimps and squid and I could already be satisfied just by sipping the soup.
I also found California rolls interesting so I gave it a try. It was my first time eating the dish and unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy it that much since I found it sour and I’m not really a fan of sour food. But still, I’d like to try their other Japanese dishes like sushi rolls.
The best menu that I’ve ordered was the fish fingers with cheese. The coating was crispy and the fish meat was white, soft and tasty. The cheese dipping sauce was its perfect match.
Eating at Rai Rai Ken is a bit pricy but it’s all worth it. The food is delicious, the service is good and ambience is also nice. Please click on the thumbnails below to check their menu.
