Tapao Mountain Resort
Tapao mountain resort is the place perfect for those who want a calm and relaxing environment. It’s called Tapao, meaning top, because the resort is situated on top of a mountain. Sometimes, mostly during weekdays, you can visit the place when there are no customers other than you. It will feel like you own the whole place.
They have 7 feet deep pools which can be used by those who love to dive. They also have three kiddie pools so your children can also enjoy the place.
Their facilities are well-maintained and the pools are really clean. For those who can’t swim, you can rent life savers for fifty pesos each. They also have billiard facilities.
Location & Entrance Fee
Tapao mountain resort is located in San Juan, Ilocos Sur. There’s no signboard going to Tapao but you can ask the locals there (just like what I did). They are honest and will give you good directions.
The entrance fee is 50 pesos per head.

Good to read your article about Tapao Mountain Resort. I have a plan to visit Tirad Pass in Cervantes then go directly to Vigan(Tapao Mountain Resort). Hope you can help me to figure out how much will it cost me for the hotel. My colleague will be with me(I think 5-6pax). For Tapao Mountain Resort, do they have cottage(bed to rest)? Would you mind telling me more about the details? Please do circle back if you have time.(We are her in CLARK PAMPANGA)

Hi Waldeo. Yes, they have rooms for rent. But sorry ’cause I wasn’t able to get the list of room prices. But I think a room costs around 1000 to 2000 per night.

Hi Jons. The entrance fee is around 150 pesos. And yes, you can already use the pool once you’ve paid the entrance fee.

We like the place,……..kagagaling lang namin sa resort na to, at kahit marami kami at marami mang dumarating na guests ay maayos na naaacommodate ng resort……kasi maraming pool at maraming cottage para gamitin…..naappretiate ko ang malinis na comfort room nila…keep up the good work for the management…….thumbs up po aq sa inyo…..

How much is the cottage fee is it already paid in the entrance P150.00? or another fee for the cottage?
Hi Frank, there’s a separate payment for the cottages. It’s around 250 pesos.
how many minutes to travel from the poblacion to the resort ? how many persons should be in one cottage ?
Travel time is around 1 hour… They have large cottages that can accommodate 10 people…
