If you like to beat the tropical heat but want to try something else instead of going to the beach, you can try visiting some of Cebu’s breathtaking waterfalls. One of your best choices is Tumalog falls in Oslob. Aside from it’s ice cold water, you will also surely enjoy the view of mini-umbrellas that cascade fine strands of fresh water. The entrance fee is only 20 pesos.
How To Go To Tumalog Falls
From Cebu South Bus Terminal, ride a bus en route to Oslob then just ask the conductor to drop you at Tumalog. From there you can opt to either ride a motorcycle or to hike. The fare per person is 30 pesos. I prefer to hike so I could enjoy nature and get some fresh air. When you arrive at the falls after hiking under the heat of the son, you’ll really want to jump immediately into the falls and realize that the walk is all worth it.
After the long hike, this is the view that awaits you.
You can bring your own food but there are no tables for rent. Though there are designated areas where you can eat. Just be sure to be responsible and bring your trash with you as you leave.
It’s also fun to try back massage at Tumalog falls though it’s more exciting there because the cold water sometimes stops then pours hard again like it’s raining cats and dogs. It will totally leave you frozen.
